New position: Start up of a test competence in association with TestHustet and Specialisterne.

 

Candidates must be interviewed by Client senior management.

Detailed Job Profile:

We are looking for an experienced Test Manager that will help us establish a Test Competence Centre in India.

 

 

            Scope of Project:

 

 

 

            Key Task and Role:

Set the foundation for the establishment of the test centre that should be able to grow slowly first by implementing a set of best practices and tools that will be the basis of services offered by the test centre.

 

·         Key contact between the customer/CLIENT partner  project manager and the test  team in Europe

·         Based on workshops with client prepare functional, usability, and performance requirements for the product features to be tested

·         Perform test/QA tasks requiring planning, scheduling, and testing to assure that developed products meet design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards.

·         Coordinate Install, configure, and test beta versions of the company's products in a variety of environments e)

·         Communicate with product developers to align test needs

·         Ensure quality and reliability of test results

·         Experience with working with offshore projects will be an advantage

 

Skills Required: Technical / Educational

 Qualification required

Mandatory Skill sets required

Any other / Additional / Preferred Skills Required

Ø      Master in Computer Science (or a computer Engineering degree)

Ø      Certified Tester e.g. ISEB (not mandatory)

Ø      Experience with current leading industrial it-standards and knowledge of future it-standards/certifications

Experience is managing a test team of between 4 – 20 persons

 

Test manager skills include

Ø      Test policy

Ø      Test strategy

Ø      Test plan

Ø      Establishment of test teams

Ø      Implementation of testing tools

Ø      Progress and Test reports

Ø       Conscientious test execution skills

Ø       Self motivated and enthusiastic

Ø       Flexible, adaptable and with excellent problem solving skills

Ø       Very high quality standards with good attention to detail

Ø       Like to initiate a number of new projects

 

Ø      Experience with Test tools from HP (Test Director) or QTP or Rational products is mandatory

Ø      If the person has a developer background it will be an asset.

Ø      Ability to travel to Europe and other locations for short periods.

Experience

Ø      An experienced tester who have both experience of test from a theoretical and practical perspective

Ø      Preferably a Certified tester with 7 – 8 years of test experience

Ø      Experience from a large global corporation will be an advantage

Ø      Experience working on new development projects will be an advantage

 

 

 

 

Soft Skills

 

Ø      Good people manager capable to lead a team of 20 testers

Ø      Candidate should be willing to start by doing operational testing

Ø      Good communication skills

Ø       Strong team leadership skills with the ability to ‘get things’ done
