The Associate Quality Analyst

  - has the primary responsibility to check, track, improve, and manage the quality of in-house and freelance editors.

  - is also known as a Quality Assessor, Academic English Analyst, or English Language Analyst.

  - serves as an indispensible part of the quality team by providing timely and effective feedback to editors, thereby playing a vital role in managing the overall quality.

The Associate Quality Analyst will need to check assignments edited by in-house and freelance editors and point out any language, content, style, and editing-related inconsistencies. Also, the analyst will provide feedback, explain grammatical concepts, check process adherence, and build resources for editors. Since our editors are highly qualified professionals in the field of academic editing, the skill set required for this designation is high. This makes this position challenging and is ideal for those who are interested in continual learning and self-development while playing their role. Furthermore, the analyst will interact with freelance editors, typically from native English speaking countries, who have a vast experience in their field of study. This gives the analyst ample opportunities to interact with professionals at an international level.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality

  - In-house editor quality: You will be responsible for analyzing in-house editor quality. You will conduct regular quality checks and hold feedback sessions for editors. You will help identify training needs for individual editors and coordinate with the Training team. You will help set quality goals at the individual as well as team level.

 - Freelance editor quality: You will be responsible for managing freelance editor quality by conducting regular quality checks, providing feedback, grading, and tracking grade changes. You will help recruiting freelance editors by preparing test samples and evaluating the tests.

 - Developing Resources: You will be responsible for developing resources for building language and process knowledge, making guidelines for quality checks, and preparing reference material.

 - Managing and generating quality reports: You will manage and generate quality reports for both in-house and freelance editors.

-  You should have at least 2 years or experience in editing/copyediting and conducting quality checks for these services.

-  As part of your job, you will be required to explain language concepts to the editing team. Therefore, you should have superior language skills and excellent communication skills.

-  You should be an independent worker with the ability to multitask and demonstrate urgency and drive. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a deadline-driven environment are essential.

-  You should be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.

-  Biosciences/Physical Sciences/Interdisciplinary background

-  Bachelor’s degree or higher
