Job Description :-
Position: Automation Test Engineer
Location: Hyderabad
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
· Develop
software (Visual C++, Visual Basic 6.0, .NET) to automate tests on
complex test equipment such as Network Analyzers/Spectrum Analyzers
and/or the device under test (DUT). Coordinate releases of all software
with other facilities that use ‘Felix’ system. Knowledge of source code
control using a tool such as Microsoft Sourcesafe a must.
· Maintain
all test equipment, including selection and purchase of new equipment,
arranging periodic maintenance, calibration and repair. Organize
rentals as required. Ensure all equipment registered and maintained
within the ‘Felix’ ATInstrument tool.
· SQL
server 2000 Database design and maintenance. Schedule required
maintenance jobs, perform schema upgrades. Script up any local
enhancements to schema and co-ordinate release to other facilities.
Control allocation of permissions to staff for ‘Felix’ applications.
· Create reports on data within ‘Felix’ database as required, using SQL Query Analyzer or other reporting tools.
· Ability
to create test sequences using proprietary test environment ‘Felix’ to
test products both in Engineering and Production. Create complex
process flow control for production using available ‘Felix’
applications.
· Effectively interface with Customers. Visit customer facilities as required to assist in diagnostic routines of failed units.
· Understand and be able to work from customer specifications with respect to test requirements.
· Provide troubleshooting resource for production on test equipment/software/ sequencing/units as required.
· Provide interface between Engineering and Production (in both directions) for NPI and existing product troubleshooting.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related field.
Experience:
o 3 or more years software design experience, using Visual C++, Visual Basic, Sourcesafe, .NET.
o 1or more years SQL Server 7.0/2000/2005 Design and Administration knowledge.
