Program Description

Crimson Interactive offers academic editing internship. This internship is a full time, in-house position. It involves editing manuscripts to make them ready to be accepted for publication, working closely with our editors and authors, preparing compelling descriptions for the reviewers and finalizing manuscripts for publication.

The interns shall work on the subject areas, depending upon their academic background, interests and objectives. Once the choice is made, the intern will be required to develop a comprehensive understanding on the procedures and workflows while it is expected that the intern has a comprehensive understanding of the subject area. Interns will be provided intensive training in academic editing. They would be working closely with in-house and freelance editors with years of expertise in this field.

Duration: 8 to 10 months
 

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

Interns should be graduates/ post-graduates from any of the following areas with very good level of command over English:

Subjects in Physical Sciences and Engineering: -

- Physics
- Chemistry
- Mathematics-

- Statistics
- Geology
- Astronomy
- Information Science
- Computer Science
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Telecommunications
 

Interns must be interested to work as academic editors and eager to learn from the editing field realities. In addition, they must be able to work fairly independently and demonstrate initiative and flexibility to effectively benefit from the internship programme.
 

Selection Procedure
Round 1: On selection, you will be called for a preliminary in-house test, lasting around two hours. We will test both your English language proficiency as well as your subject matter expertise.

Round 2: Qualified candidates will be interviewed within a week.
