Job Description

Candidate will have 2 to 4 years of performing database analysis, maintenance, and development with Microsoft SQL Server. This position requires both programming and analytical skills. Will be primarily responsible for writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers to several MS SQL 2000/2005 production databases. Will also be responsible for extensive and constant database optimization to ensure the most efficient and reliable application processing. If applicable, position may have some MS SQL 2000/2005 DBA responsibilities. Extracts, audits, and analyses of ad-hoc data on a daily basis also required. Must be able to communicate effectively.

Skill Sets:

• Strong transact SQL skills. Stored Procedure & Trigger development.
• strong DDL skills
• Must be able to translate business requirements into data models.
• Experienced SQL developer (not necessarily a DBA).
• DTS development for building and maintaining system interfaces
• Manage and maintain data base schema.
• Experience with MS SQL 2000 or 2005 server is required.

SECONDARY SKILLS
• System testing and technology evaluation, with a focus on performance analysis and improvement.
• Strong web based reports/presentation building skills using Microsoft Reporting engine, Excel, Perl, SVG, XML, and XSLT or other comparable languages and reporting packages.
• Skilled in data analysis and statistics
