Hi everyone,

I am very new in this forum and am glad to find a place like this.I am working as a junior tester for last three months .My job includes mainly manual testing .I would like to go more in to the automation side of the testing.

A friend of mine advised to learn a scripting language ,which he said would be good for the future. So I am planning to learn one and I am confused which one to learn . My choices are Python and Ruby.Which one do you think would be good for me and which one of these is most commonly used and has a future.Or is there any other?

Thank You

As per my experience Python is good to learn its easy and most commonly used language. It has good future.

With very few exceptions, test automation tools are driven by scripting languages.
