| Job Description |
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
â Work with the Business Analyst to interpret the test needs as requirements are being developed.
â Work with Business Partner to ensure the standard of testing supports the business needs
â Create a comprehensive Test Plan that supports the business and technological solutions being delivered.
â Contributes and adheres to the Requirements Tractability Matrix to ensure a quality delivery.
â Performs duties delegated by the QA Lead on behalf of the department.
â Works with the application programmers to resolve defects identified during the system test.
â Creates Test Cases, Test Scenarios and Scripts in support of business functional requirements and in a reusable state.
â Executes each script to identify defects prior to the delivery of software in a production environment.
â Ability to interpret a complex variety of technical instructions, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
â Assist in the capturing and documentation of metrics in support of software testing.
â Assign severity levels to each test issue discovered during the test cycle.
â Support for User Acceptance Testing
â Tests data to ensure it complies with specifications and present sound recommendations through thorough analysis.
â Performs System Integration, Regression and Security Testing
â Strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to present the proven solution to all levels of associates.
Additional Duties
â Assists Application Development with stress and performance testing
â Participates in the formulation of project time estimates
â Knowledge of project planning and project management techniques sufficient to mange small projects and/or group activities
Competencies:
â Testing experience in Mainframe, Unix, Client Server, Web environments (mid range)
â Good query skills and various OS utility tool experience such as TSO, Xpediter, FileAid, Intertest
â Strong experience with manual testing, testing tools, and writing test cases
â Experience in full software development life cycle methodology
â Proven organizational and analytical skills.
â Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
â Skill in operating independently
â Skill in exhibiting solid analysis, decision-making, and problem solving
â Ability to estimate and to plan
â Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
