4) Computer fundamentals and networking concepts should be clear

5) Knowledge of Technical/Software Languages would be added advantage.

b) Component Tester:

Software Engineer of Component Testing Team is responsible to plan, manage and execute test cycle for component products using IDE's like Visual Basic 6.0, Visual Studio for .NET 2003, Visual Studio for .NET 2005 and other tools. The Engineer has to study the component product, devise a testing strategy, create/review test scenarios/test case/test scripts and execute the test cases manually or using automated scripts for products. The Engineer is also responsible to maintain test logs and prepare test summary and other reports as per the process. The Engineer may be requested to mentor junior engineers related to process/programming/testing training or tasks.
Good understanding of best practices/processes of QA is also recommended. Good communication skill is must, and the ability to think/analyze like a developer is very essential. Knowledge of programming language would be added advantage.
