As an individual contributor
1.Design, create, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases.
2.Design, develop and maintain test programs including test tools and automated test suites.
3.Reports defects and verifies defect fixes.
4.Participate in product functional reviews, test specifications, test plan, test cases review.
5.Collaborate effectively with the Development, Product teams, and other QA engineers to develop comprehensive test cases providing maximum test coverage and to deliver end-to-end quality in our technology and customer experience.
6.Conduct periodic bug scrubs to improve test case coverage and reduce production regressions.

Experience: 3 to 6 years

Skill Requirements
Mandatory Skills

General
1.3 to 6 years of testing experience
2.B.E/M.S in Computer Science or related discipline preferred.
3.Should have passion for Quality.
4.Good written and oral communication
5.Ability to work with teams across a matrix organization.
6.Good analytical and problem solving skills
7.Good debugging and troubleshooting skills.
8.Should be a team player and a self motivator.

Technical
1.Good working knowledge with Unix / Free BSD.
2.Good understanding of
a.Any RDBMS ( MySQL/Oracle/SQL Server/Other(s) )
b.Database concepts and SQL queries
3.Hands-on experience on
a.Test Harness/Test Framework Development Experience in Perl
4.Excellent test scenario identification abilities.

Domain
1.Working knowledge with Web/Client Server technology(s).
2.Hands-on experience on any version control tool. CVS, perforce
3.Good test planning and test case development experience.
4.Good understanding of defect and test case management.

Desired Skills
1.Experience in testing Web/Web Services/Database applications
