| Job Description |
This
individual will report to the Director of QA and will be responsible
for managing the testing cycle of multiple software products on
advanced web architecture: Java, SQL, XML, JSP, using IE browser, with
WebLogic and Websphere application servers on NT, UNIX (HP, AIX, and
Sun) and Oracle, DB2 and MS SQL Server platforms. The candidate will
work closely with Development and Product Management to understand the
requirements, estimate effort, staff projects, prepare and track
project plan and open issues, ensure process compliance and provide
regular status updates.
The candidate will be:
· Responsible for day-to-day activities of a team of testers.
·
Responsible for overall product success from a QA perspective. This
will include coordinating with QA leads on the design and development
of test plans for software application testing, making decisions about the use of test automation.
· Defines and executes test project plans for multiple projects or products.
· Responsible for setting QA release objectives and test processes.
·
Responsible for project staffing, mentorship, performance appraisals,
compensation reviews and overall career growth of direct reports.
· Influence cross-team/cross-site issues, operations and test processes
Requirements:
· 10 + years of relevant experience.
· Proven ability in handling multiple concurrent projects/products.
· Prior experience in a software product company preferred.
·
High technical competence and a strong academic record. Strong
experience with testing methodologies. Experience using QA tools.
Programming skills a plus.
·
Solid people management skills, experience in building QA teams,
setting up testing processes, strong project-management skills, proven
track record for product delivery.
· Excellent communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
Education:
BS/MS Computer Science/Engineering or Masters in Computer Applications (MCA), with consistently good academic background.
Highly desired, but not required:
· Experience with supply chain management software
·
Operational aspects of order management, purchasing, fulfillment,
delivery, and warehouse distribution center operations
