• Use your technical skills to perform tests to flush out any issues in our product related, with an emphasis on Ethernet VPN technology, prior to performing Common Criteria Testing.
• Organizes network test evaluation program by preparing timetables, cost estimates, and required resources including test laboratories and equipment.
• Prepares test reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing product requirements.  Prepare test cases, document steps, estimate time to execute, prioritize and maintain test plans in on-line database management systems.
• Communicate test results, including all issues found, in written and verbal formats.
• Work closely with and assist development groups with troubleshooting, debugging, and ultimately closing product issues.
• On-going  Interactions with all R&D teams including product line management, customer service, systems engineering and VO test cycle
• Maintaining and enhancing automated test scripts. This includes executing test scripts, debugging issues, and fixing and enhancing the scripts as necessary.
• Setup and maintain equipment necessary for testing in lab environment. This includes cable setup, configuring switches, performing script configuration on Unix or Linux devices.
• Experience with Ixia, Smartbits or other equivalent test gear is a plus.
• Continuously updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging test engineering practices and standards; participating in educational opportunities and professional organizations; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.
• Enhances engineering and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Provide world class engineering level support to external customers when necessary as well as certification agencies

Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree/Master's degree required in Computer Science, Electrical or equivalent Technology oriented Diploma with work experience
• Experience with Software and Hardware interfaces
• Strong test and debugging skills required including the ability to rapidly execute test plans in a consistent manner
• End-to-End product and performance evaluation
• Ability to develop, understand and validate design documentation
• Proficiency in basic administration of Windows and Unix/Linux platforms
• Proficiency with networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, FTP, ICMP)
• Understanding of:
• Ethernet Networking
• Layer 2 and Layer 3 concepts
• Risk assessment
• Log monitoring
• Work or equivalent education experience with Routers and L2/L3 switches.
• Proficiency in basic administration of Windows and Unix/Linux platforms
• Experience with Passport 8600 and Passport 8300 products is a plus
• Experience with Telecom, datacomm, IT operations or SW development is a plus.
• Proven technical and interpersonal skills in a multi-function and dynamic team environment
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
