| Job Description |
GENERAL SUMMARY:
*
This individual will report to the Director of QA Engineering and be
responsible for managing Software Testing of Software Products for the
Financial Services industry.
* The Software is based on
advanced Technology: Java, SQL, XML, JSP, using IE browser, for
delivery on multiple platforms, including UNIX (Solaris, AIX and
HP-UX), Windows, and others, using relational Databases including
Oracle, DB2 and MS SQL Server.
* The candidate will work
closely with Development and Product Management staff in India and the
US to understand the requirements, negotiate scope and schedule, manage
Software Testing for Projects, and manage staff.
* He or she will collaborate with peers in India and the US to align and improve consistent processes.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
*
Manage staff, including Project assignments, mentoring, performance
appraisals, compensation reviews and career planning for direct
reports.
* Own overall success of Software Projects from QA perspective.
* Manage creation and execution of Project plans for Software Testing of multiple Projects or Products.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
*
Solid people Management skills, experience in building QA teams,
setting up Testing processes, strong Project-Management skills, proven
track record for Product delivery.
* High technical competence and a strong academic record.
* Strong experience with testing methodologies such as Agile Testing.
* Experience using QA tools such as harnesses, API Tester, UI Automation tools etc. Programming skills a plus.
* Strong relevant experience with at least 3 years as QA lead or higher, managing 8-10 Testers.
* Ability to commit deadlines and meet them.
*
Experience Testing Products that require compliance testing, standards
verification, security testing, and interoperability testing.
* Experience testing or using Business-to-Business or e-commerce Software. |
