This position is responsible for creating clear and complete test cases for the most complex functionality, executing tests, measuring expected and actual results and reporting status; Ensuring accurate coverage of requirements; business rules; client-requested scenarios and problem resolution.



PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Create accurate and comprehensive testing estimates
Participate in all applicable requirements and design meetings.
Analyse requirements and design documents to understand how the enhancement
works and to gain a clear understanding of system interfaces as necessary to
develop testing strategy and test specification.
Design test specifications for the most complex new features. This will
include analysis of documented functional requirements and specification of
data requirements.
Be responsible for executing test specifications, analyzing the output and
recording results.
Be able to analyse a problem to assess whether code, environment, or data is
the root cause.
Create test environments and manage migration of software into testing
environments
Manage various versions of software, if applicable.
Provide technical solutions and improvements to the more complex testing
environments by applying skills, experience and leadership.
Participate actively in Test Automation activities where applicable, including
creation and execution.
Provide status reports to team/project lead as required
Participate in test case reviews for other team members to ensure adherence to
standards and ensure test case completeness.
Support the various Development Teams including System Engineers, Programmers, and Technical Writers throughout the life cycle of enhancements/releases.
Identify the severity of issues and escalate jeopardy items to appropriate
personnel.
Manage defects found during testing and coordinate resolution with development.
Where appropriate, support the Development Team to achieve resolution for
defects.
Retest affected functionality upon defect resolution
Assess completed test specifications for inclusion in future regression test
suite.
Coordinate with all impacted organizations.
Train and develop less experienced testers act as a mentor.
Conceive and implement process improvements for the testing team.
Research and implement new testing tools that benefit the team
Set and attain quality targets
Monitor production raised issues to determine future testing requirements that
may result in changes to existing test cases.
Prioritise one's own work in accordance with management guidelines.
May be responsible for day-to-day functional supervision of work group,
including work assignment and attendance monitoring; providing input into
selecting, training, developing, and completing performance appraisal of work
group(s) in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable legal
requirements.


JOB DESCRIPTION



The position of Performance & Solution Monitoring Administrator includes the following but not limited to: Providing performance Test plans Engineering of Scripts Testing the application for adequate response times under a volume of users overloading the application/servers to identify break points.
Volume Related Production issue resolution
Scripting LoadRunner and BAC Scripts in a C Like Language
Analyzing results from testing.
Analyzing results from Business Availability Center. Provide recommendations based off results. Experience in HP/Mercury Test applications is a must.
Additional experience with UNIX Shell Oracle and MS Windows is required.
Direct contact with users and developers is a normal part of the job.
The candidate must also be able to work with minimal supervision. Experience with HP Business Availability Center, LoadRunner & IT Governance would be a plus.
Good communication skills are a must.

Engineering / MCA / M.Tech / M.S with relevant experience of atleast 8-12 years
