Job Description
Position Purpose : This position is for the Project team for QA. The
Assignment Manager is responsible for the successful application for
the model, the coordination of Pune resource, working with their US
counterparts to ensure execution and completion of testing related
activities done by testing resources on business unit projects. The
person is also responsible for mentoring, training and building the
team.
Desired Candidate Profile
Essential Functions
Personnel Leadership Experience
Ability to lead effectively and retain team members, ability to
recognize talent for building the team, ability to work with some
ambiguity.
Ability to identify training needs for resources and the projects planned.
Ensure quality results are produced by testing resources with regard to
meeting target dates, issue resolution and timely decision making.
Ensure compliance to standards and best practices,
Ensure walkthrough and sign off of test deliverables.
Responsible for Work Allocation to the team and obtain status updates.
Mentor new team member, Involve in issue resolution activities from onsite.
QA Experience
Accountable for preparation of a High Level Test Strategy, Test
Planning and Estimation using the Test Architecture Framework,
Responsible for building test strategies for individual levels
identified in the High Level Strategy, Organizing training and coaching
for all stakeholders, Perform Smoke Tests, Responsible for review of
major Test Artifacts, Verification & Validation of Test Cases,
Plans, Cross Project Reviews and Test Execution.
Creation of Test Automation Architecture, configuration of Test
Environment, Preparation of Test Plan, etc. Capturing and reporting
Metrics, conducting Audits, Define test Deliverables and ensure
deliveries are in time and above expectations, identify and manage
project risks.
Experience:
Total IT Experience: Range from 6 10 years
Total Manager Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Manager Title.
Total Testing Experience: Latest 3 years atleast in Testing arena.
Domain: BFSI (Focusing on Insurance or Banking), Datawarehouse or large
integration projects involving multiple projects or product
implementation.
Technical Skills: Test Consultation, Test Strategy, Test Planning, Test
Methodology, Estimations, Test Case Creation, Test Automation, Reviews.
Managerial Skill Sets: Handling on-off shore teams, Managing team size
of minimum 10 resources, Metrics reporting, Audits, Team Performance
