Job Responsibilities The Senior QA engineer will develop and
implement QA processes, test plans, test cases and infrastructure to improve
quality and efficiency of testing
• They will have to perform all aspects of verification, including feature
testing, functional testing, unit testing, regression, load and performance
testing, structural testing or white box testing.
• Mentor junior QA engineers.
• Provide clear, concise, timely communication of test reports, escalations and
recommendation
• Design, execute and maintain manual and automated test procedures.
• Installation, configuration and maintenance of software for the test
environments
• The engineer will take ownership and follow the task to successful completion
on time and good quality
Profile Details
·BS CS/EE or equivalent
· 4+ years of enterprise software testing exp (5 to 7 years)
· Exp in testing enterprise software products.
Thorough understanding of QA methodologies and procedures.
·Proficiency in Handling all the activities in the Product Test Life
Cycle (Gather Test Requirements, Test Estimation and Planning, Design and
develop Test Cases, Test Execution, Bug Management, etc )
·Exposure to multiple testing strategies as in white box, black box,
regression, integration, performance testing etc
·Hands on development experience using J2EE technologies and sound
scripting skills ( Java, J2EE, XML, Weblogic/Web sphere)
·Ability to install and administer Weblogic/Web Sphere/JBoss and
databases
· Experience in configuration and testing web-based applications using
J2EE technologies
·
Automated test tool implementation experience (Win runner/QTP/Silk Test)
· Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
· Exposure to Portal Technologies
