Job Description

 Key Tasks and Accountabilities:-

- Analyses the requirements and technical designs documents in order to produce test cases and test sets that fully exercise the system / applications under test through test tools.
- Analyses results and prepare technical / performance reports using Test tools ( performance + Functional ) preferably Mercury Products assists in diagnosis of problems and potential solutions.
- Produces analyses, including trend analysis, of defects reported during test execution.
- Provides support to Test Manager in impact analysis of change requests.
- Provides input to the test stage plan.
- Provides support to Test Manager for status reporting.
- Understands the business processes in order to group together test cases to exercise the systems / applications under test in a way which supports the business.
- Defines the test data needed to support the test cases, test sets , performance and stress tests.
- Typically has a good deal of relevant experience, ideally in the Telecommunications industry.
- Experienced in Testing in a Quality Management environment, including:
o Case and test case development and maintenance experience.
o Analyzing business requirements, designing documents and translating them into test cases.
o Thorough understanding of testing techniques and tools.
o Customization or prepared Test Cases.
o Ability to write clear specifications and test cases.
o Experience in reviews of work packages and entry and exit criteria for the testing stage.
o Analyzing test coverage and maintaining traceability matrices.
- Key understanding on architecture and infrastructure.
- Key understanding of the base business applications.
- Good understanding of the methodology and how it relates to testing.
- Understanding of data requirements in applications, including 3rd Party applications and commercial packages.
- Understanding of business workflow.
- Testing (Performance, Load, Stress) of large scale systems, testing tools (LoadRunner and Win Runner), test case/ and test data production and management.
- Extensive experience in handling Mercury Products like Load Runner , Win Runner/QTP , Test Director test .
- Experience of Configuration Management tools, preferably Clear Quest.
