Company Profile:Test Process Design and Implementation Develop quality assurance plans to
determine how to evaluate and test technical courseware, both instructor-led
(ILT) and self-paced web delivered. Implement test strategies for both course
content and labs Work with overall Instructional Design and Development team to
determine how to streamline QA process and increase efficiency and repeatability
of tests. Test Environment Management Set up lab equipment per course LOG equal
to the classroom experience or remote lab experience as applicable Responsible
for quality of the Lab experience Owns Quality Assurance Plan Ongoing Quality
Verification & Reporting Participates and contributes in the following
phases of content development, to understand design and develop appropriate
tests: Content Design review determines if course content aligns with stated
objectives Alpha/prototype review determines if labs/exercises meet stated
performance outcomes Leads Quality assurance (peer review) Evaluates adherence
of courseware to design objectives per course description Test all labs and
student workbooks for lab accuracy, flow, and clarity of instructions Provide
detailed reports of failures to instructional design teams Administrative Duties
Manages work schedules and QA/test project schedule(s). Contributes to keeping
Project status pages (Wiki) up-to-date. Tracks Project time in IMS or similar
tool Quality Standards Evolution. Regularly meets with Instructional Designers
to review reports and drive improve in baseline quality. Proven team member;
works well as part of a learning team as well as being able to manage own
timelines and function as an individual contributor. Pursues quality trends and
ensures the quality processes reflects continual improvement to stay abreast of
market quality standards
Requirements:Testing Experience in software testing .Must have good troubleshooting skills
and be able to investigate thoroughly to determine the origin of the issue
Systems and Platforms System Administration knowledge of various operating
systems including Solaris, Linux, Windows, and Macintosh platforms Ability to
configure and administer Sun and Intel/AMD hardware Proficiency in set up and
usage of popular browsers including Firefox and IE Good understanding of Sun's
software product line Communication Delivers all information in a timely manner
to the appropriate audiences Strong ability to communicate verbally, reflected
in concise and accurate information plus the ability to adapt the depth and
style of verbal communication to the importance of the issue Strong writing
skills reflected in an ability to deliver reports that are actionable, and
contain the appropriate technical depth and accuracy, and/or the appropriate
overview of critical factors, to suit the needs of intended reader(s). Knowledge
of Sun Softwares is must.
