Hi

I have been given a task to do performance testing of a third party tool that our firm is using.since the appplication is much customizable(in terms of adding tables, triggers, stored procedures) , they want to see if our added triggers/stored procedure has made the system slow. The Application is a client server win32 application having .net framework and some forms in powerbuilder and sqlserver 2005 at the backend. It is a n-tier architecture with middletier using Java/tomcat.
- When I use the .net protocol , nothing gets recorded. How can I find whats happening ?

- When I use web services to capture soap message, it genertates a very long script (just for a log on )and on rerun , it says that the server response is not in xml. so I am not sure if it is the right protocol?

- Another option that I am thinking is running QTP scripts through load runner? I need to create around 50 virtual users. I have 3 qtp liscense.
- Is it possible (having 3 qtp liscense) to create 50 virtual users using terminal server session. If yes , what is the software requirement for using
terminal server session.

Will really appreciate your responses.

- How should one approach for the right protocol when application is a mixed technology?
