Job Description

The candidate will support the aggressive growth, the test team in India. Looking for a talented, hands-on, working Automation Test Manager who can work collaboratively with existing Automation team in US, and at the same time manage and grow the team in India.

The candidate will manage and provide technical leadership to a small team of engineers responsible for the automation of different features of a Switching Product family and other routers/switches. The candidate will work with development, devtest, release operations, and program management while planning and executing the automation activities for a release. The candidate would be responsible for setting up project Automation schedules, ensuring completion of projects on-time and within budget and establishing and executing on quality objectives. The candidate will exercise first-level management responsibilities for hiring, employee development, reward, and recognition. In addition to management activities, the candidate will also spend of portion of their time writing scripts and other hands on automation activities. The candidate will also provide technical leadership and problem solving at the functional level.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Hands-on experience with Tcl/Expect is a must.
- Knowledge of Software Engineering practices and Quality Assurance standards.
- Should have good understanding of routing, switching, general networking concepts and protocols (BGP /OSPF / MPLS / RIP / ISIS / IPv4 / IPv6 / ETHERNET / L2TP / PPP / PPPoE / PPPoA / MSTP / GRE / STP / RSTP).
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
- Mentoring and Leadership skills
- Highly motivated and able to motivate and inspire.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively
with different test, development, and support
groups.
- Experience building a team from scratch, recruiting and retaining top talent
- Ability to work with teams across cultures, organizational boundaries, time zones and
countries.
- Must be comfortable and fully capable of juggling multiple tasks, and effectively prioritizing the same to maximize overall effectiveness.
