International, a wholly owned subsidiary of Standard Chartered Bank,
UK, is an integral part of the Bank's strategy to consolidate and
rationalise operations into Shared Services Centres. This is an
ambitious project that the Bank undertook and today Scope International
services all 56 countries of the Standard Chartered Group processing
over 80 million transactions a year.
The facility in Chennai is one of two hubs that the Bank has set up,
the other being in Kuala Lumpur. Scope International has today emerged
as one of the top captive banking back offices in India for
international companies.
The operations in Scope are very diverse and range from banking
operations to supporting global HR processes and finance and accounting
services, software development and maintenance, support for global
treasury operations and providing IT helpdesk support. Scope

Job Description |
Job Purpose:
Mitigate risks to Business through timely and precise execution of
test cases in user acceptance testing. Work with business users in
various countries to create test cases for enhancements and fixes on
applications. Retest defects after fixes. Under moderate supervision
execute tests to ensure that information systems and services meet
group standards and end-user requirements.
Banking operations experience of about 2-3 years is required.

Job Responsibilty:
1. Develop Test scripts and scenarios based on various requirement
documents and country business operations, within schedule constraints.
2. Perform functional, modular and process based user acceptance testing activities as per UTG engagement level in the project.
3. Identify issues in requirements, design specifications and product documentation.
4. Conduct reviews and inspections of project deliverables (small size projects).
5. Contribute to define & Document test procedures and policies.
6. Report status promptly and accurately
7. Constant communication and follow-ups with various stake holders to
track deliverable during test planning and execution phases where
applicable.
8. Assist the Test lead/Test Manager in managing day-to-day testing
activities, such as test monitoring and status reporting at the end of
the testing day.
9. Participate in project meetings to provide feedback and statistics of the project in relation to the test quality.
10. Develop test Bed and verify test environments. Set up necessary
monitoring / profiling tools to identify and isolate performance
bottlenecks.
11. Log software product defects and track it to closure.
12. Contribute to accurately estimate work requirements.
13. Create country production security matrix
14. Aid in go live phase by being on site and helping the migration
15. Be the contact point for all UAT related matters for any country and be accountable for UAT sign off.
16. Be champions of and implement standardization of operating processes across geographies by testing plans.
17. Contribute to training teams for training business users on applications.
