Job Description

The software test engineer will work closely with software developers and program managers in testing web-based software and back-end functionality for core platform web services. Primary responsibilities include designing, developing, and executing test plans using manual and automated tests, identifying and tracking software defects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. The candidate should have strong problem solving skills and proven ability to quickly assimilate information and deal with multiple simultaneous projects in a fast paced environment. Testing environment is Linux, Java, J2EE, JUnit, JSP, SQL and Oracle.

Roles and Responsibilities:
2 years of experience in software quality assurance or development experience. 1 year of experience with Java and Servlet/JSP API testing in a service architecture with a substantial database back end.

Understanding of software development life cycle, quality assurance process, software test design strategy and software testing tools
Experience in JUNIT , JAVA and J2EE with Servler/JSP API testing
Working knowledge of Linux, client/server communications, relational database and SQL.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
