Creates, prepares, and conducts quality assurance reviews and develops
and executes test plans and test scripts. Works with clients to
establish and maintain a consistent test methodology and to resolve
questions during the experience including exposure to testing testing
process. May serve as a coordinator for all testing activities on a
project. Analyzes, tests, and certifies automation tools
application-specific software and performs ambiguity reviews of
business requirements and functional specification documents. Uses
functional knowledge of applications to provide technical assistance in
identifying, evaluating, and resolving moderately complex test
problems. Logs, tracks, and verifies resolution of software and
specification defects. Documents all phases of QA process Primary Responsibilities
Understand project/product functional/technical requirements and work
with onsite QA team, Business Analysts and Developer to address
ambiguities in requirements Define functional, Integration, Compatibility testcases as well as end-to-end scenarios Review the testcases with other team members Update regression testcases based on changes in requirements Request and maintain test data for predictable testing effort Work with Automation team to enable automated regression testing Determine if change needs to be added to regression Execute Test Cases, update the status in Quality Center and log defects in Clear Quest Follow up defects and perform Regression Testing of defects across multiple builds Work on multiple activities/projects Provide status update to QA Lead Escalate issues/risks to QA Lead Secondary Responsibilities Perform Browser/OS Compatibility testing for projects Perform ADA compliance testing for projects Identify opportunities for functional automation and plan for implementing the same using Quality Center, QuickTest Pro
