he easiest way to know the Ins and Outs of configuration management (CM) is by taking up tutorial lessons that can be usually viewed online. There are a lot of web sites that offer such service, discussing not only CM but also software configuration management (SCM) as well.  Some of these sites are enumerated below:

a. Get Ahead in Project Management
