Designation Software Quality Engineer (entry level)
Job Description Work with moderate/minimal guidance to design, develop, document, execute, and maintain test suites for one or more families of CAD based and standalone plant design software products. Coordinate with developers to create and maintain comprehensive test plans for functional, performance, stress, compatibility, and acceptance testing. Review user documentation for technical accuracy; verify examples/illustrations; write test reports; manage defect database information & generate reports.
Desired Profile Requirements/Qualifications:

College course work in Engineering and/or Computer Sciences (or equivalent)
good oral/written communication ability
good understanding of the principals of software configuration management
'Black box' testing methodology exposure and experience
Test automation tool(s) exposure and experience
Ability to work within a diverse, highly skilled team of developers, support engineers, and technical writers


Desirable Experience:

Software quality principals (theory, metrics, assessment): Feature Driven, Scrum, other 'agile' process methods
Industrial/chemical plant design & engineering
Software development project dynamics
Test planning, design, architecture, & execution
Demonstrated professionalism & interpersonal skills
Technical knowledge (MS-Windows', MicroStation, databases, graphics)
Programming languages: C#, C, C++, Pearl, Ruby
Minimum experience 1
Maximum experience 2
