Job Description
1. Job Description of the profile (the kind of activities the resource is going to work on daily basis).
* Test, develop and support database software infrastructure for system management tools like the Object Use Count and Database Query Language
* Write technical documents that accurately describe feature test plans and reports
* Contribute to writing of technical documents that describe feature functionalities and design
Use existing source control, defect reporting ,test-plan, code design and document review processes and tools 2. Essential Skills of the resource
* Strong Software testing, development, analytical and debugging skills in Unix and Window OS
* SQL knowledge & knowledge of RDBMS concepts
* Strong programming skills in C
* Good verbal and written communication skills
3. Good to Have skills
* Teradata experience
* Experience in Configuration management and associated tools
4. Qualification BE /BTech/ME/Mtech/MCA - Computer Science 5. Years of experience. 1-2 Years
Desired Profile
Very strong working knowledge in C language. Knowledge of C++ will be an added advantage.
Very good understanding and working knowledge in UNIX OS internals and kernel programming. Understanding of Windows and Linux OS internals is desirable.
Extensive working experience in using various debugging utilites like GDB, crash, kdb is required. Experience in using WinDBG & lcrash is desirable.
Should be well versed and extensively used different OS performance tools in UNIX environment.
Very good working knowledge in shell scripts. Perl programming is preferable.
Understanding of relational database logical and physical design concepts.
Strong analytical abilities involving complex software in a parallel processing environment.
