Job Description
* Complete ownership of the Product Testing function for more than 1 simultaneous projects.
* Projects include predominantly non-UI testing of highly technically complex products based on Microsoft Technologies.
* Some UI related testing is also included
* Lead team of 1-5 software test engineers in testing efforts, but has minimal people management responsibilities and more of mentoring responsibilities
* Design, create and implement QA/Testing process where none exist or are marginal
* Create test plans, test cases, status reports and exit reports as well as document and track implementation and core product defects during implementation projects.
Desired Profile
* Between 5 to 7 yrs of total experience, aspiring to be QA-Lead in Product Testing
* Must have worked in a Product QA environment and involved in hands-on testing of atleast 2 release cycles HANDS-ON experience is needed.
* Must have a thorough understanding of continuous integration, unit, regression, and functional testing (White Box Testing)
* Should be able to articulate the SDLC and STLC processes to a high degree of depth.
* Should not rely on off-the-shelf tools, but rather be able to create ones own automation framework using any programming language (C# preferred) and maintain the same as a library
* Should be able to develop testing 'tools' to tackle complex testing scenarios
* Requires a working knowledge of software program troubleshooting and general mindset of problem solving using ones own effort rather than being told what the error could be
* Desirable: Understanding / exposed to any of nUnit, nAnt, CCNet, Selenium, WATiR/WATiN, build process (releases, hotfixes, patches etc) and other development tools
