Job Description
BOSS International is recruiting for Software Engineer (Testing) who will work in a challenging team environment, sharing responsibility for all aspects of the software development process. The scope of work includes architecture, configuration control, considerations for human factors, integration, maintenance and enhancement, performance, quality assurance, standards and processes and testing. Civil engineering domain knowledge would be beneficial.
Role:
The candidate should be able to work within general practices to develop and implement software quality assurance processes. Selects methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Creates project plans, identifies functional specifications and proposes project scheduling. Reviews projects against goals and provides status reports. Implements software quality plans, evaluates quality standards, analyzes test results and recommends corrective action. Determines the types of process documentation needed for testing standards and test results.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is able to grasp the requirements of a given automation assignment and design/implement a robust solution. The programming may be challenging, so a track record of delivering sophisticated software is a must. The programming languages may include both high-level languages, and scripting languages.
Requirements:
* Professional degree/diploma in Civil Engineering knowledge of water resources would be an added advantage.
* At least 3 years experience in performing both black and white box testing.
* Have at least 2 years experience with an automation scripting language.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as exemplified by clear bug/issue explanations.
* Taking part in brainstorming and review sessions.
* Ability to work in a 'Team' environment is an absolute MUST.
* Experience in short release cycles, the full software lifecycle.
* Experience with source control systems.
* Should be an excellent team player with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Commitment to quality and high standards.
* Ability to self-start and motivate others through leading by example.
