Job Description
Position:- Product Test Engineer
Qualification:- BE/B-Tech or MCA
Work Location:- Gurgaon(Delhi NCR)
Experience:- 2 to 6 Yrs
Essentials:-
Educated to at least university degree level in EE or CS, have 2+ years experience in a similar environment. A keen problem-solver with a proactive, team-oriented approach, and excellent written and oral communication skills, you'll relish the challenges this pioneering environment presents.
This job requires good analytical skills as well as strong testing and scripting skills. You should also have knowledge of software testing methodologies, and the Software Development Lifecycle. Experience with automated Test tools & processes is a must.
Familiarity with testing in rapid development environment using Agile Methods & Scrum
Familiarity with unit test methods (eg. JTest)
Involvement in testing of applications in Telecom space
Desirable:-
- Knowledge of Development/Testing Life cycle.
- Strong Unix/LINUX and NT experience
- Testing on Java based products and having knowledge in testing GUI/CGI, RMI, JSP based applications hosted on an application server like Tomcat, JBoss, Apache etc.
- Testing of Mobile handset applications
- Domain knowledge and experience in testing applications based on Internet Service Protocols like HTTP, SMTP, POP3, IMAP, SNMP, RADIUS, TCP/UDP
- Demonstrated strong initiative, ownership, communication and teamwork skills
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Demonstrated strong English language skills both verbal and written
- Experience with Clarify Defect Tracking system or any other Defect tracking tool.
- Experience with Commercial test tools
- Domain experience in Oracle, solid databases, Shell scripting/ Perl/ STL

The key responsibilities of this role include the development of test plans and procedures, then using these in the verification of software applications and hardware products in the communications space, along with mentoring and coaching colleagues.
