Designation Variant Test Engineer Opening with a leader in Mobile Communications
Job Description The SW test engineer works in close co-operation with Variant SW creation team, verifying their work products and communicating error information to them. (S)he also maintains and develops the test environment and test cases. The role has crucial impact in our product quality, this is the last point where the rest of the errors must be caught before the SW enters production.
Key responsibilities:
--Checking the requirements, i.e. the variant proposals for completeness and testability
--Updating the manual test cases and automated test scripts for a new product
--Flashing and testing the custom transceivers and content SW images against their variant proposals
--Recording and categorising any errors and observations
--Communicating errors and observations to our SW creation team for quick repair
--Retesting customised transceiver content in case of a SW version change or customer requirements change
--Participating in variant testing method and tool development activities.
Desired Profile --Basic knowledge of Symbian OS and S60 based products.'
--Familiarity with automated test environments (e.g. Mercury Quality Center, Perl, etc.).
--Good communication and problem solving skills, and interest in improving processes and product quality.
--Professional attitude is required to repeat test cases systematically and rigorously.
--Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken are required
