Designation Release Engineer
Job Description Primary Responsibilities Include:
Regular building and versioning Enterprise Applications.
Configuring test environment and versioning of applications.
Interacting with Development and System Analyst teams.
Provide scalable code management solutions and establish processes for managing various release versions across applications.
Reporting and tracking status of release and escalating as necessary
Help maximize reuse of code and other development artifacts
Constantly refine and improve productivity through automation of the release processes.
Desired Profile Primary Responsibilities Include:

A Successful Candidate Will Have:
BE in Computer Science or other equivalent or higher technical degree
Extensive knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems
3 years experience in release engineering.
3 years of experience with software configuration management
Highly skilled in Systems/source code revision control systems (Perforce or CVS).
3 years of experience with RPM or other package management systems, GNU Toolchain.
Familiarity with server hardware a plus.
Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Knowledge of automation tools, Web Application testing will provide an advantage.
Good knowledge of SDLC methodology and processes
Thorough knowledge and experience with build management tools (make, scons, ant).
