Position Descriptions
TITLE: Sr Engineer : Lead Engineer
LOCATION: India
POSITION SUMMARY
Provide EMS/NMS software automation for location, ensuring that project schedules are met. Plan and develop automation test suites to be used on the Ciena Network Management products. Review product requirements, Architecture and designs and provide feedback to development and test teams. Team with test organizations in order to ensure customer quality in the Network Management products
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES For Lead Engineer
· Lead local automation software development efforts to ensure product deliverables are met.
· Develop automation test foundation and suites in order to reduce manual test time required to test the Network Management product.
· Develop test plans based on System Requirements and high level development documents.
· Investigate product defects and highlight critical issues that can have potential customer impact.
· Interface with global development and management team, acting as local liaison for project responsibilities.
SKILLS
· 3 yrs+ development automated Network Management test suites
· 2 yrs+ developing Java applications
· 3 yrs+ experience in the Telecommunication
· 1 yr+ leading a team on a project
· Knowledge of interfacing with Oracle databases.
· Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
· Excellent communication skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES For Sr Engineer

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
· Strong knowledge of TCL required.
· Strong knowledge of UNIX required.
· Strong Knowledge of CORBA and Oracle
· Knowledge of Java preferred.
HANDSOME WORK EXPERIENCE ON TCL/TK IS MANDATORY.
