Software Test Engineer

Desired Profile: Strong working knowledge of software testing principles, methods, and tools.

Working knowledge of web-based application development environments.

Developing/executing test plans and test cases for software development projects.

Technical expertise with automated testing and defect tracking software.

Technical expertise in SQL or other scripting language.

Excellent problem solving skills; extremely detail oriented.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple, diverse projects simultaneously.

Ability to comprise and negotiate working solutions under pressure without jeopardizing quality.

Self-motivated/self starter; requires minimal guidance or oversight.
Job Description: Provides software testing and verification support services for a web-based, e-learning application. Participates as a member of a development team to develop/execute comprehensive test cases consistent with a defined testing strategy and plan, track and report results, document defects, and validate defect resolution. Requires ability to work under the direction of the Software Test Engineer II (lead) with minimal guidance.
