I know that I can publish counters to perfmon from a .Net application. But will this work in a .Net component? A component that is part of a web application and thus is only 'living' for a second or two at a time. Plus using load testing tools there maybe multiple instances running simulataneously. I am interested in knowing if such a scenario will work with Perfmon. Will I be able to collect data from all the instances?

Can someone tell me if I can build such a beast? My thought was "no, I can't", but want to be sure.
