Test Evidence

In a regulated environment, it’s never enough to say it works – it must be proven. Independent, verifiable evidence provides assurance that the system meets its objectives. An organisation may “know” that their system works, but may well be surprised by how much they don’t know when evidence is eschewed. How convinced will an inspector be when viewing test evidence in 6 months time?
TestDirector 7.5 secures test results once they are committed to the database, ensuring that results cannot be changed following execution except by a higher authority and then with full audit of the change and an approval electronic signature applied.

Attachment files can be incorporated into test results. Attachments are stored in a secure location that can only be accessed via the TestDirector interface and then with read-only permission. Links to all attached files are maintained by TestDirector.

A new feature improving the test run process allows the user to capture a screen using the snapshot button. If required, a particular area of the snapshot can be highlighted so as to clarify the main subject matter of the validation checkpoint. The resulting file is then automatically stored safely and dynamically linked to the test step in progress. On post test review the test step displays an icon which provides the path direct from the step to the screen print.
