Job Description

1. The QA Engineer will be responsible for testing web/desktop applications.
2. Manage test setup and test environments.
3. Active participation during requirements analysis.
4. Evaluating, recommending and using test automation tools
5. Setting work priorities.
6. Should have communication and inter personal skills. Be able to communicate with technical and non-technical people.
7. Deadline driven, having good problem solving and analytical skills.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Should have knowledge on implementation of Quality management, Quality control and Quality assurance.
2. Should have the diplomatic skills needed to promote improvements in QA processes. Have the ability to work under pressures and make sure that quality of product is being maintained & QA processes are being followed. Should be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
3. In-depth knowledge of software testing (Black Box testing). It should contain each and every concept of software testing.
4. Good understanding of SDLC, STLC. Candidate should also have knowledge of different types of SDLC and V-model.
5. Detailed knowledge of different types of software testing strategies and processes.
6. Hands on experience on writing Test Plan, Test Case Checklist (Matrices), Test Case, Weekly Status Report, Test Strategy, Build Completion Report.
7. Knowledge of Automated Test tools available in the market. Any one tool related to each application test, load test and performance test. e.g. QTP, Load Runner, Win Runner, Rational Robot, etc.
8. Should have good domain knowledge of the applications he/she has tested.
9. Should have good knowledge on quality standards, processes, procedures and strategies.
10. Should have hands on experience on testing web applications developed in .NET, PHP, JAVA, etc.
11. Should have sound understanding of different RDBMSes and SQL queries.
12. Project testing experience on Linux will be an added advantage.
