Just received the following text from Mercury Support regarding WinRunner supporting IE7:

Quote:

I appreciate your efforts to run your web scripts against IE 7.There have been many WR customers trying to use IE 7 and facing lots of problems. The solutions which I had provided earlier was an out of box effort to solve your issue.

However now it has been officially declared that WR does not have support for IE 7 and this can cause functional problems.

WR82P27 patch was just for testing purpose and upgradation for this patch is still going on.

I am extremely sorry but to continue running your test scripts you will have to downgrade to IE 6.

There is a possibility to have support for IE 7 in the future and efforts are going on to create a patch for this.

Kindly look for more information soon in our product alerts on when we will support IE 7.

This is a drag because our web client uses mostly ActiveX controls and not strictly HTML - now in IE7 WR doesn't recognize objects like it used to.
