Test Management

Reporting
TestDirector has an established reporting facility that is customisable to suit user requirements. Data can be presented in tabular or graphical format, and can be exported to external file formats as required. Standard Report formats can be created and validated to enable electronic storage of a completed report. However, since it is likely that formal test report requirements will vary from project to project, a simple solution would be to complete the approval process manually for printed copies of test reports. This does not compromise the value of day-to-day reporting available in TestDirector to assist decision making and general management practices.

Control
Access is controlled by user accounts and passwords. User permissions can be configured to further restrict access at group, role and field level as required. All changes made to user permissions are recorded in a permanently enabled audit log.

Workflow
The need to meet compliance requirements impacts on test process workflows. This contrasts with the flexibility allowed by the standard TestDirector configuration. Certain functions are enabled only at certain points in the workflow, thus maintaining the integrity of the procedure. Some aspects of the workflow can be configured and controlled to suit user needs via the customisation and user permissions facilities.
