Hi.

I am just curious. A lot of new methodologies preach QA involvement before development begins. Currently, our company (ok, the government) does not really do this.

I am curious if anyone can provide examples of HOW the QA would get involved. Do they examine code? Do they look at the interface? Do they examine to see if the automation tools they use will be able to quickly go over it? Do they interfere with the requirements to allow for quicker testing? How far is their reach?

Thanks. Please feel free to redirect me to links that answer this question thoroughly.
