Hey All,

I'm new to load runner & trying to use it on a Excel based add-in. I tried recording the script with COM/DCOM protocol and not able to record any events on Excel.
I need some help to figure out the following.
1) How can I record and play the scripts for MS office applications.
2) what protocol I need to select?
3) If there is any Java plugin or something for this purpose where can I find them.

Below are the LR ver details:
1. What version of LoadRunner or PerformanceCenter are you using?
LoadRunner 8.1
2. What is the protocol you are working with?
Tried with COM/DCOM
3. Which LoadRunner/PerformanceCenter feature or service packs are you using?
VUGen & Controller
4. What kind of LoadRunner license do you have - subscription, perpetual, Virtual User days, or evaluation?
Subscription
4.1 If subscription, is subscription current or expired?
Current
5. What platform(s) and Operating Systems? Include version and service packs.
Windows 2000, SP4.
6. If you have filed a service request with Mercury, what have they told you at this point with respect to your issue?
Never filed a service request

Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.
