Alpha testing: it is the type of testing for which the is done again on the functionality of the application which is already done in order to ensure that any more defects found in application.
             One of the advantage of this testing is, if there are any defects found in the application before releasing we can resolved the defects immediately.

Beta testing: it is the type of testing done in the entire customer environment up on the application. if there are any defaects found in the application then we can not resolved it immediately.

Alpha Testing:-
1) Testing will be done by Developer or Tester on Testing Environemnt.
 
Beta testing:- This testing will be done by Customer or group of end user in Produciton environment,. All the defects needs to find and should be closed
