What is Software framework?
Def#1 A software framework is a partially complete, or semi-finished software (sub-)system that is intended to be instantiated. It defines the architecture for a family of (sub-)systems and provides the basic building blocks to create them. It also defines the places where adaptations for specific functionality should be made. Def#2 A software framework is a reusable design for a software system (or subsystem). Def#3 Software frameworks are a promising application of object-oriented technology that promote the reuse, extensibility and maintainability of software. What is Software Architecture? Def#1 The backbone of a software-intensive system or application, including its basic design, scalability and premise. Def#2 The software architecture of a program or computing system is the structure or structures of the system, which comprise software elements, the externally visible properties of those elements, and the relationships among them.
