		Develop and maintain JUnit-based automated test suites and reusable

		Role Details
		
		
		·         Does test planning, test case design with 
		white-box orientation, i.e. to improve functional and code coverage (at 
		a feature / component level)


		·         Participates in automation strategy – when/what/how to 
		automate, tool/harness selection and/or enhancement


		·         Assists in proof-of-concept projects for automation strategy 
		assignments


		·         Plans test automation activities – design, coding, packaging, 
		and maintenance


		·         Creates requirement specifications and design documents for 
		test automation framework based on Commercial or Open Source automation 
		tools


		·         Customizes 3rd party automation tools by designing/writing 
		plug-ins if required 


		·         Write high quality test cases – that find high quality bugs 
		and that can be automated – and guides team members on how to write such 
		test cases


		·         Designs and develops scripts/code of high quality (ensures it 
		works at customer location as well)


		·         Test case execution including execution of manual test cases 
		and ah-hoc testing


		·         Perform application debugging as appropriate which is required 
		for additional information for bugs


		·         Works towards achieving improved functionality test coverage 
		and code coverage through review and test design
