Job Description

We're seeking senior Software Test Managers to support our Quality Assurance team, which assesses a variety of products, including real-time trading systems, complex financial systems, and sophisticated workflow systems. The team carries out a variety of tests, including functional, performance, and security tests, using a combination of manual and automated testing; and employs off-the-shelf test automation and performance testing tools, as well as in-house proprietary test automation frameworks. The primary responsibilities of managers on the Quality Assurance team are to direct and to contribute to testing projects and the team's development via process improvement efforts, test automation framework development, etc. The position offers candidates with a genuine interest in technology, finance, and software testing the opportunity to work on projects that deliver the cutting-edge technology developed by the Firm. The ideal candidate should have all of the following: • A strong educational background, preferably with a degree in Computer Science. • Expertise in software testing concepts, the software test lifecycle, and experience with software test automation using unit testing frameworks or test automation tools. • Experience in managing projects and teams. • A very good understanding of a broad range of Computer Science areas, including operating systems and databases; at least one object-oriented programming language such as C++, Java, C#, etc.; and at least one scripting language such as Perl, UNIX shells, etc. • Excellent problem-solving skills. • Experience in software testing at top-tier software product development firms, software test process outsourcing firms, or top-tier financial institutions. Experience in the investment management and financial markets domains is preferred but not required.
