security landscape. The acquisition will enhance Cisco's reputation as not only 
a maker of networking equipment, but as a maker of products and services that 
utilize the network itself. IronPort Bangalore is the company's first major 
development center outside the San Bruno, California headquarters. IronPort 
Bangalore's charter will be complete product and project ownership over multiple 
product lines including the flagship enterprise email security appliance, the 
web security appliance and the new SMB (small to medium business) email security 
product. IronPort offers the C-Series Email Security Appliance, the S-Series Web 
Security Appliance and the M-Series Security Management Appliance. The core 
strengths of IronPort's solutions are IronPort's SenderBase; the world's largest 
email and Web threat detection database, and AsyncOS a customized operating 
system based on FreeBSD that has been designed from the ground up for 
application layer security. IronPort's products protect 8 of the 10 largest ISPs
