Job Description

Good understanding of requirements, BI/OLAP product and domain
Guiding the team members technically and on the product and overseeing the product testing and release activities such as:
oPreparation of high level test strategy, test plans and test cases
oDeveloping and executing the tests specific to modules
oAnalyzing the dependencies among various modules and developing integrated test cases
oDeveloping Functional and scenario based test cases
oWorking closely with the Engineering Development teams to develop a comprehensive test plan and with the rest of the QA team to execute the generated test plan.
oReviewing the test cases for adequacy of test coverage.
Continuously finding ways of improving the product quality by devising optimal and practical test processes.

Qualifications (Required):

B.E / B Tech / M Tech / MCA required.
6 to 8 years of hands on QA and test development experience which includes product installation, configuration and administration of test environment.
Testing enterprise class commercial applications
1 2 years in a QA Technical Leadership position
Databases - Experience with Oracle, DB2, SQL Server
OS Windows, UNIX and LINUX
UNIX Shell scripting
Fine tuning Regression base with addition of new test cases as and when enhancements occur
Experienced in API Testing for server side applications
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Must execute tasks independently


Qualifications (Desired):

Testing Server side applications (OLAP server would be a value add eg. Cognos PowerPlay, Hyperion Essbase, Business Objects, Microsoft MSAS, etc)
API Testing (preferably for OLAP engines and API testing using XML/SOAP interfaces will be added advantage)
Cross platform testing i.e. Applications that are compatible across Windows, UNIX and LINUX platforms.
Exposure to BI, Analytics, BPM, OLAP Domain
Exposure to Netezza and Teredata databases
Exposure to business modeling
