Job Description:

Prepare SQA plan for the project.

Understand the customer needs and expectations.

Understand the project type, technology and the lifecycle /                 execution methodology the project has to follow.

Facilitate the project processes and project plans.

Facilitate the projects QA and QC plans. Ensure these are              rigorous.

Assist in tailoring the project's process from the                 organizational QMS if required.

Identify the metrics to be tracked.

Take part in project meetings / internal project reviews.

Conduct project reviews / meetings to ensure adherence to                 the project plans and compliance to processes.

Review the project metrics.

Verifications of work products through sample code reviews, design
reviews, unit and integration testing, physical and functional
configuration check.

Validation of deliverables by ensuring requirements                 traceability, closure of all defects etc. 

Review customer complaints and customer reported defects. Interact with
customer to understand / resolve any customer issues.

Facilitate closure of any non-compliance issues and                verification of the same.

Escalate any non-compliance issues to SQA Lead.

Facilitate process improvements within the project.

Understanding good practices within the project and                 highlighting them at organization level.

Desired Profile:

  Minimum 3 years overall software experience. 

Should have an orientation / liking to software processes

Thorough understanding of SDLC processes.

Experience in all phases of the SDLC  from requirements gathering to UAT.

Good understanding of Metrics.

Should have participated in project reviews / audits.

Must be strong on any one technology  Mainframe / Web based / client server.

Good communication skills.

Should have relevant certification  CSQA / Internal Auditor.

Should have been involved in process improvement initiatives.
