Does anybody successfully automate the testing of localization, i.e. supporting an application (Windows app in my case) in multiple languages?
Our process right now requires that we update a written test case for each release that takes a novice user (from each country) through all the screens so that they can review the app in their native language. This is an expensive and manual process...update the test case, get app installed on novice PCs, get the familiar with the app, have them manually run the test case, etc. It seems like there should, at the very least, be a way to write an automated test that exercises the entire UI, taking screen captures along the way. Then I could possibly just have them review the screen captures. Or, how does your company do this testing today? Post Resume: Click here to Upload your Resume & Apply for Jobs |
