1. How to test the MMS application?

This means a mobile can be used to transfer
images,photos,animations,Motion pictures,voice,songs..etc.

The mobile device and communication link
between the mobile and the communication network will have
certain bandwidth  to communicate each other.

The data processing & trasmission rates are depended on the
mobile and communication network capacities.

In MMS application Resolution also plays very importenat
role.
resolution means No.of pixels for inch image area
Resolution decides the Picture quality.


2. How do you test mobile handsets?

According to the application of the mobile it differs,

May i know wht kind of application

mobile application like video recorder,audio recorder,wall
paper download,business,sms,mms etc.or mobile games nerally we will do

Download testing (OTA,BT,IR)
sanity testing
Performance testing
Functionality testing
Network testing
compatiblity testing
Regression testing
Interruption testing(SMS,MMS,Charger insertion)


3. How we test battery back up time using load testing especially for mobile testing ?      

Battery back test procedure:

      1.charge the mobile up to Max capcity voltage.
        (i.e untill it should shows all the power
         indicating line are displayed).
      2.call to a number and continuously use it untill
        the battery fully drained out.measure the time of  
        life for one full cycle.
      3.Charge the battery upto  20% of it's capacity
        use it untill the battery fully drained out.
      4.Charge the battery upto 40% of it's capacity
        use it untill the battery fully drained out.
      5.similarly check for 60%,80% of battery charge
        capacities and measure the battery backup time.
      6.verify the battery life by contunously sending
        shoty data messages.
      7.Verify the (GUI) power indcating lines or levels
        correctly displaying or not with respect to
        actually charged battery level.
      8.test the phone in non signal coverage area and
        measure the battery stand by time.
        (bcoz in non signal coverage area cell continuosly
         searches for signals due to this the power
         continuosly dissipated as RF signals and
         battery drained very soon)

4. How do we test protocols in Mobile testing. and how many protocols are used in Mobile application?


Whether it is Text or file based Protocol or not, If It is text based Protocol We Can
Use Device Logs, Ethereal Traces.

It Depends On the Application on Mobile ur Using:

Ex IMS Client Application :SIP,RTP,RTCP,TCP,UDP


5. what is regression testing?

The re-execution of the test with multiple testdata
on modified build,bug fix work and occurrences of the
side effects is called regression testing

6. what is streamining?

When we use graphics or video content on mobile phones/
computers, It takes some time to make buffer. So that whole
data accumulated and presented to the user. This process of
buffering and then displaying data is called streaming.
This helps in smooth movement/ clear visibility of
graphics. Also, this term  used for increasing the
resolution of pictures.

Subscriber sending and receving multimedia message over the web and mobile phone

then how to

Execute Test runs with different MMSC application versions on different platforms for compatibility testing.

Create & execute Test Script using winrunner for regression testing.

Porting of the scripts for the new versions of the system.

Develop test cases and involved in manual Test Execution.
Cross Browser Testing.
