Job Description

Leading a team of QA Engineers invovled in testing of applications on Mobile handsets and responsible for advocating company standards, procedures, processes.
Participates in planning test strategy, creates test plans, analyse defects and track them. Will guide a testers in developing test cases, execution & improve test cases & efficiency.
Understand functional requirements and integration points in the system to be able to design a comprehensive QA strategy.
Define test Strategy for functional & performance testing.
Developing testing scope, estimates, timelines and overall test strategy.
Engage and participate in all aspects of Requirements, design reviews, test and project plans, resource estimates, and implementation schedules.
Co ordination with development teams/Managers
Leadership skills to guide teams of test persons on several projects
Experience in generating matrices for projects under them
Experience in people management for performance appraisal, hiring, retention.
Experience in client communication and presentation

Desired Candidate Profile

Should have QA experience on full-cycle implementations.
Strong coordination and communication capabilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Publish software defect reports, and report on overall software stability at project team meetings and Go-Live activities.
hould be a B.E/B.Tech (ECE/CS/Inf Sci)
Should have complete knowledge of Test Life Cycle & Test Management
Person should have hands on testing experience. Good understanding of test automation & tools. should be able to hand hold & guide the team members
Should be able to come up with improvements in the existing process
Testing MMS applications, Engines, streaming of audio & video, GUI, automation with scripts like Tcl/Tk, Python, Perl etc
Experience in testing with SQL Server, My SQL
Experience in testing of
- Mobile applications on handsets.
- SMS, MMS, Streaming Audio, Video etc
- Handset simulators,
- Development platforms from Nokia, etc
Experience in
- Development of automation framework
- integration of mobile applications like SMS, MMS, handset applications.
- Bug reporting tools
