Job Description:

· Guiding and mentoring (and performing as needed) testing preparation and execution tasks typically assigned to test team members

· Managing a team of 3 to 5 testers

· Acting as a point of contact between project management and team for day to day activities and planning

· Developing task plans.

· Providing intellectual leadership in testing practices not only within the team but also to the customer and other CGI teams

· Providing regular updates or status reports at defined intervals Developing expectations for team members

Desired Profile :

Required skills:

· 4+ years experience with software testing and 1 year in leading teams

· Knowledge of common test management software tools, such as Quality Center

· Knowledge of common system verification tools, such as SQLPlus and FileAid

· Excellent communication skills

· Excellent facility with Microsoft Office suite of tools

· Must have experience with structured testing methodologies

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment

· Must be detail oriented

· Must have the ability to multi-task

 Desired skills:

Knowledge of Healthcare Insurance industry

Knowledge of target system technologies to be tested, such as IMS/Cobol/DB2, Sybase, JAVA, Blaze rules engine

Software development & testing certification practices.
